For Paws Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue associated with For Paws Boutique in Auburn, AL. The rescue was started in 2001 when the boutique opened, but became an official non-profit organization in 2004. We are dedicated to saving as many animals as possible finding them forever homes. For Paws Rescue regularly fosters between 25-30 dogs and 5-10 cats a time, all of whom are looking for a new home. We have housed and placed pets displaced from hurricane Katrina, stray pets and ones who have been given up. In light of the recent economy, we have been seeing an increase in the quantity of animals entering rescues and a decrease in adoptions.
All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and come with a leash/collar and some food at their adoption. Cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, come with food, and are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Disease before adoption. We have a certificate for free vet visit that goes withevery adoption good at participating veterinary hospitals.
